Do I Believe in Love at First Sight?

ABSOLUTELY.

For those of you who know my story with Scott, you know this all too well.
After I very first met Scott, I called my mom to say "If Scott Hathaway proposed today, I would say yes!"  Maybe a little dramatic having never been on a date with him, but hey, I knew a good thing when I saw it!  We were married over two years later.  Remind me to tell you the details sometime when I have a week to write the story...
(One of our first dates)

And now Ruby girl.  Today has been one of those days where I sit home and just squeeze her!  I have special moments with Ruby where I am in absolute awe with the privilege that is mine to be her mother.
Love at first sight?  I think YES.

My two loves:
Aren't eternal families the best ever?!?

Spirited

Dear Ruby,
You bring so much happiness to your dad and me!  You are the most happy with life in the mornings, and whenever your dad is holding you.  So cute.

This week, you had your 4 month checkup.  You see Dr. Glade for a few minutes alone, then we join other moms and babies to talk about your development.  All the other babies were quietly laying, cradled in their mother's arms.  But you were standing on my knees with your arms straight out and eyes wide WIDE open for the entire 45 minute meeting.  You've really discovered your voice this week, so you were happily screeching and babbling as well.  Dr Glade kept referring to you as the "active" or "discractable" child, and one time he even called you "spirited."

We would want you no other way :)
xoxo,
your momma

Lately

If you follow me on instagram or facebook, then you've probably seen this picture... but it is my new favorite!  She is such a doll.

Ruby has taken up involvement in her feeding.  First of all, she always holds her own bottle.

Even if she misses...

If she is not hungry or doesn't feel like eating, she lets me know.  She'll push away, purse her lips, pinch me, spit out the milk I do get in... This girl isn't about to be pushed around.  She likes to do what she wants when she wants.  We always love her, but try to force feed her in the meantime :)

How could we not love this sweet sweet girlie?!?
